(comment) It was given to him by a local boy who was friendly with Toriyama Akira. It is the oldest handwritten item by Akira Toriyama that Mandarake has handled so far, and it is Arare-chan when a volume of comics has not yet been released. Arare-chan appeared at the start of the series with her normal head, but from the first to the second volumes, she became shorter and rounder, and was transformed into the Arare-chan we know. This illustration is still in its early days, so it's a bit of a slender pretty girl style. The costume of the Scientific Special Investigation Team is depicted on the colored paper that was also featured in the ZENBU 109 issue and in the first volume of the comics, which shows that it was Toriyama's favorite at the time (Yamatani)
