(comment) This model was a prize in a giveaway featured in the February Edition of the magazine "Shogaku Ninensei" ( Shogaku Ninensei ), with only 100 winners (gold and silver combined) receiving it. The magazine was so excited about the release of "Pok mon Gold and Silver" in November of that year that it Special Feature article on the game, and the gold and silver plating was chosen to capitalize on that momentum. The finished product is actually closer to black and bronze plating. The magazine at the time featured a photo of the unpainted model with the GT parts' Synchro Wing attached, and the shape of the front form, gives it a Formula One-like appearance that is quite appealing (Hirota).
