(comment) In the previous series, "Choujuu Sentai Liveman," released in 1988, the last Sentai series of the Showa era, the combination of the first and second robots was realized for the first time in the series. The "DX Live Combination 5" set box, released for the Christmas shopping season, was very popular and was a success as a large box product. The following year, in 1989, building on that success, a large box product was released that included the five-robot Turbo Robo (the first robot's combined form) and the second robot's Super Sky Combination Turbo Rugger.
