(comment) [Old Zoids Special Feature Headline] "Mecha Biological ZOIDS" was released in 1983 by Tomy, Ltd. (now Takara Tomy). Originating from the "ZOIDS" product released for the America market, the initial Japanese product line was called "Mechabonica," and three types of Wind-up toy kits were released. Later, the series series was changed to "Mecha Biological ZOIDS" and it was relaunched. The setting was given to "Planet Zi," far from Earth, where combat mechanical beasts modeled after animals and dinosaurs wage wars between nations. A major feature that distinguished it from conventional plastic models was that it required no glue, and after assembly, you could enjoy the walking effect using Wind-up toy or motors. "Zoids" became a huge hit. The weighty, military-themed story unfolded in Shogakukan's school magazines, and the story's appeal further boosted its popularity. Despite its immense popularity, it was never adapted into a TV anime. Instead, the pure charm of the toys and story captured the hearts of children at the time, and the series continued for approximately seven years until the final product, "Death Cat," was released at the end of 1990. "Zoids" then went on hiatus, but was adapted into a TV anime in 1999. Toy sales resumed, and it became another huge hit. New releases have continued to this day, interspersed with periods of hiatus. This time, we have prepared a Special Feature on the very first "Zoids" series , "Mecha Biological Zoids," also known as "Old Zoids." Many of you reading this magazine may have seen the exhibits at "Great ZOIDS Expo 2023," held in 2023 to commemorate the 40th anniversary. In this Special Feature, we have gathered everything from "standard" items that were on display at the venue to various peripheral item that were not. We will now guide you into the enchanting Zoids zone. [Product Description] This is a limited edition product released to commemorate the 3rd anniversary of Zoids. The molded colors have been changed from the Normal version, and new weapon parts have been added to enhance the bombardment capabilities of the Gojulas, which was previously primarily used in close combat. The movement is the same as the Normal version, and you can enjoy walking and the eyes light up with a light unit. Due to its short sales period, this Zoid is difficult to obtain among the Zoids that were sold to the general public, and its price continues to rise. Even assembled already and in perfect condition, it will cost hundreds of thousands of yen. This listing is for an Unassembled item, and the box is in very good condition. There are unfortunately some minor scuffs, but it is a masterpiece that can be said to be in the best condition of any existing examples (Isoo)
